Your 3 days Uganda tour to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and the most famous national park. This park is located in northwestern Uganda and covers an area of about 3840 square kilometres and it was gazetted as a game reserve in 1926. The 3 days safari to this park allows you to explore its spectacular savanna grasslands and the Victoria Nile which flows dividing it into 2 parts-the northern and southern bank. It also offers you a great opportunity to look out most of its bird species that make up a total of about 450 avian species, 76 species of mammals and the mighty Murchison waterfalls and many other incredible wildlife species.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
You will have breakfast early in the morning at your respective hotel and after, be picked up by one of our professional and experienced driver guides. You will be briefed more on your three days tour to Murchison Falls National Park and after, you head to northwestern Uganda for about 4 to 5 hours’ drive (311 kilometres). En-route, you will catch a glimpse at the beautiful landscapes of the nearby Nakasongola district and have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will embark on rhino tracking.

Afterwards, head to Masindi where you will make another stopover for lunch and then drive to the park. On your way, don’t miss to catch a glimpse at varied wildlife species especially baboons, warthogs and on the top of the falls, you will be amazed by the powerful roar of the mighty Murchison Falls as it squeezes itself within a narrow gorge of about 8 meters. While at this point, you will take as many pictures as possible. After, head to your respective safari lodge for relaxation, dinner and night stay at Murchison River or Pakuba Lodge (Midrange), Paraa Safari Lodge-Luxury, Heritage or Red Chili-Budget.
Day 2 - Game drive in the morning and a launch cruise on the Nile
Get up very early in the morning and be served breakfast at around 6:30 am and after set off for the early morning game drive at 7:00 am. While on a game drive, you will have a chance to spot out wildlife species like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelope families, lions, waterbucks, birds and many others. After, return to the safari lodges for chilling as you wait for another dramatic afternoon launch cruise.

You will have lunch at your respective lodge and then embark on a launch cruise on the Nile where you will have an opportunity of view most of the elephants, buffaloes on the River Nile banks and several of the Nile crocodiles, hippos and aquatic bird species including bee-eaters, kingfishers, shoe billed storks and others. Upon arrival at the bottom of Murchison Falls, you can opt to hike to the top of the falls or return to your respective lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay at Red chilli or Heritage Lodge-Basic, Murchison River Lodge or Pakuba Lodge (mid range) or Paraa safari lodge (upmarket).
Day 3 - Drive back to Kampala
Following breakfast early in the morning, set off for early morning game drive as you spot out most of the wildlife species that you missed to see the previous day. After, drive back to Kampala but have a stopover in Masindi for lunch and then proceed to Kampala which will mark the end of your 3 days Murchison Falls safari in Uganda.
